39 DU students awarded scholarship

Thirty nine meritorious students of different departments under the Faculty of Arts of Dhaka University (DU) have been awarded Centenary Trust Fund Scholarship.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal distributed scholarships among the students as chief guest at a function held today November 28, 2023 at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban auditorium of the university.
DU Treasurer Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed presided over the function while Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof. Dr. Abdul Basir was present as special guest. Chairman of History Department Prof. Dr. Abu Md. Delwar Hossain and Chairman of Bangla Department Prof Dr. Fatema Kawser also spoke on this occasion.
DU registrar Probir Kumar Sarker conducted the function.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal congratulated the recipients of the scholarship and said, success of the student who obtains outstanding result is being recognized by awarding scholarship. Students will be inspired by such type of scholarship, he hoped. He urged the students to equip themselves with knowledge and contribute to the development of the country.
