38 nomination papers submitted in r constituencies of Faridpur

In the 13th National Parliamentary Election, a total of 38 candidates, including independents and nominees of various political parties, have submitted nomination papers in Faridpur’s four constituencies.

On the last day of nomination submission, Monday, candidates submitted their nomination papers until 5 pm.

Confirming the matter, Faridpur Senior District Election Officer Tarek Ahmed said that for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, candidates collected a total of 44 nomination forms for the district’s four constituencies. Finally, 38 candidates submitted their nomination papers to the Returning Officer, Assistant Returning Officers, and district election offices.

The candidates of Faridpur-1, 2, 3, and 4 constituencies are as follows:

Faridpur-1 (Madhukhali–Boalmari–Alfadanga) :
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Mohammad Elias Molla, BNP’s Khandaker Nasirul Islam, Jatiya Oikya Front’s Shah Muhammad Abu Zafar, National Citizen Party (NCP)’s Mohammad Hasibur Rahman, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish’s Mohammad Sharafat, Jatiya Party’s Sultan Ahmed Khan, Bangladesh Minority Janata Party’s Mrinmoy Kanti Das, Bangladesh Congress’s Md. Khalid Bin Naser.


In addition, seven independent candidates submitted nominations: Md. Abul Bashar Khan, Md. Shahabuddin Ahmed, Laila Arzuman Banu, Mohammad Golam Kabir Mia, Sheikh Abdur Rahman Jiko, Mohammad Arifur Rahman Dolon, and Md. Shamsuddin Mia.

Faridpur-2 (Saltha–Nagarkanda) :
BNP candidate Shama Obayed Islam Rinku, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish’s Md. Akram Ali, Islami Andolon Bangladesh’s Shah Muhammad Jamal Uddin, Gano Odhikar Parishad’s Faruk Fakir, Bangladesh Khelafat Andolon’s Joynul Abedin Babul Mia, Bangladesh Congress’s Mohammad Nazmul Hasan, and Insaniyat Biplob Bangladesh’s Akramuzzaman.

Faridpur-3 Sadar :
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)’s candidate Nayab Yousuf Ahmed, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Md. Abdut Tawab, Islami Andolon Bangladesh’s K M Sarwar, Bangladesh Communist Party’s Md. Rafiquzzaman Mia, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD)’s Arifa Akhter Beby, and independent candidate Morshedul Islam Asif.

Faridpur-4 (Bhanga–Sadarpur–Charbhadrasan) : 
BNP candidate Md. Shahidul Islam Babul, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Maulana Sarwar Hossain, Gano Odhikar Parishad’s Taslim Matubbar, Jatiya Party’s Raihan Jamil, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish’s Mizanur Rahman, Islami Andolon Bangladesh’s Md. Ishaq Chokdar, Bangladesh Communist Party’s Ataur Rahman.


Independent candidates include A A M Mujahid Beg, Abdul Kader Mia, and Mohammad Mojibur Hossain.

Over the last two days, candidates submitted their nomination papers in a festive atmosphere, accompanied by party leaders and activists. In the district’s four constituencies across nine upazilas, there are a total of 1,769,777 voters.
