
356 students vaccinated against typhoid on first day in Goalando

A typhoid vaccine (TCV) vaccination campaign has been inaugurated in Goalando, Rajbari.
Goalanda Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Md. Maruf Hasan inaugurated the typhoid vaccination at the auditorium of Goalanda Shaheed Smriti Government Girls' High School on Sunday.
Also present at the time were the Resident Medical Officer of the Upazila Health Complex, Dr. Md. Shariful Islam, Medical Officer, Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin,
School Headmaster Md. Rafiqul Islam, Assistant Health Inspector Md. Sultan Uddin Ahmed, Md. Chanmia, Health Assistant (Immunization) Md. Sabuj Molla, along with teachers and students of the concerned educational institutions were present.
According to sources at the health complex, this vaccine will be administered to 37,995 children aged 9-15 in various educational institutions and centers in Goalanda Upazila. Today, this vaccine was administered to 356 students in two educational institutions in the upazila.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Md. Maruf Hasan said in his speech that after the discovery of effective vaccines, it has been possible to eradicate many diseases from the world. In the past, due to the proper implementation of vaccination programs, Bangladesh's EPI program has always been praised worldwide.
There is no alternative to making the typhoid vaccination campaign that started on Sunday a success. We must remember that today's healthy children mean tomorrow's healthy generation and future skilled citizens. There is no alternative to health for children to succeed in education and sports.
