The names of the candidates nominated by the Awami League for the upcoming 12th National Parliament elections have been announced by the party's general secretary Obaidul Quader on Sunday.
This time three showbiz stars got nominations. They are actors Asaduzzaman Noor and Ferdous Ahmed. Another Baul empress Mumtaz. Earlier, Asaduzzaman Noor and Mumtaz were MPs elected for Awami League, but Nayak Ferdous got the boat ticket for the first time.
Asaduzzaman Noor has been nominated for Nilphamari-2 and Mumtaz Kanthashili has been nominated from Manikganj-2.
Actor Ferdous got election ticket with boat symbol in 12th National Parliament election. He is going to fight for Bangladesh Awami League from Dhaka-10 seat.
Before this, a large part of the stars collected nominations for Awami League. Among them, stars like actress Mahia Mahi from Chapainawabganj-2 constituency, actor Siddiqur Rahman from Tangail-1 constituency, Dipzal from Dhaka-14, Nayak Rubel from Barisal-3 constituency bought Awami League nomination papers. Actor Shakeel Khan, Danny Sidak, Shimla, Shami Kaiser, Rokeya Prachi bagged further nominations.
