A 3-day 'Youth Festival' at Dhaka University has concluded with the distribution of prizes for various competitions and a mega concert on Thursday.

The closing ceremony of the festival was presided over by Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan at the central playground. Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, was present as the chief guest at the event and distributed prizes among the winners of various competitions. Dhaka University and the Ministry of Youth and Sports jointly organized this festival with the theme 'Come change the country, change the world'.

Prof Dr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin, convener of the festival celebration committee, delivered the welcome speech at the closing ceremony. Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Md. Rezaul Maksud Zahedi and Director General of the Department of Youth Development Dr. Gazi Md. Saifuzzaman spoke as a special guest at the event. Deans of various faculties, principals of various halls, teachers, students and senior officials of various ministries were present.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan expressed his sincere gratitude to those concerned for successfully organizing this festival. Highlighting the role of the youth festival in building social unity, he said that through this, the relationship between government and private institutions with Dhaka University will be further strengthened.

Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan said, we are celebrating the youth festival nationwide to rebuild Bangladesh with the power of the youth society. He mentioned that this festival is being celebrated with the aim of organizing the youth society and presenting our capabilities to the world.

In addition, in the painting competition, Farhat Ali won 1st place, Rakin Nawad won 2nd place and Prashant Mondal won 3rd place.
