A three-day (December 15-17) Victory Fair, organized by the Kalai Upazila Administration under Joypurhat district to observe the Great Victory Day 2025, was inaugurated by UNO Shamim Ara on Monday at 3 PM at Upazila Parishad premises.
The Fair features 16 stalls, including a stall by the Abdur Rashid Talukdar Smriti Gonopathagar (Public Library). A cultural program was held after the inaugural ceremony. Md. Asaduzzaman Chowdhury, Administrative Officer of the Upazila, and S M Tarekul Islam, ICT Technician of the UNO office, provided overall support for the two events.
Present at the inauguration were Md. Nazim Uddin, Principal of Kalai Government Women's Degree College; Rafiqul Islam, OC of Kalai Thana; Md. Harunur Rashid, Upazila Agriculture Officer; Dr. Nahid Naznin Daisy, Resident Medical Officer (Acting) of Kalai Upazila Health Complex; Md. Aminul Islam, Principal of Hatior Kamil Madrasah; Md. Taifur Rahman Fita, Principal of Kalai Technical and Business Management College; Md. Mahmudul Hasan, Upazila Family Planning Officer; Dr. Md. Muniruzzaman, Upazila Livestock Officer; Md. Rafiqul Islam, Upazila Education Officer; Md. Tajuddin, President of Kalai Degree College and Convener of Ahmedab Union BNP and a member of the Fair Committee; Md. Abdur Rouf, Naeb-e-Amir of Upazila Jamaat; and other dignitaries.
