
3-day Land Fair begins in Munshiganj

With the slogan "Pay regular land development tax, protect your land", the three-day Land Fair 2025 has begun in Munshiganj, in line with nationwide celebrations.
On this occasion, a colourful rally was organized on Sunday at 9 AM, starting from the premises of the Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office, passing through Pataka 71, and ending back at the DC office premises. The rally saw enthusiastic participation from heads of various departments, general citizens, teachers, students, officials and employees of the district administration and Sadar land office, NGO representatives, and print and electronic media journalists.
Following the rally, an inaugural ceremony was held at the DC office premises. The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner Fatema Tul Jannat as the chief guest and the Superintendent of Police Mohammad samsul alam sarkar as the special guest. The program was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Sharif Ullah. The DC officially inaugurated the Land Fair 2025 and visited the fair stalls along with the attendees.
After the grand rally and inauguration of "Land Fair 2025", a quiz competition was held at 11 AM in the conference room of the DC office with participation from school and college students. Additionally, a public hearing was organized by the district administration with participation from distinguished individuals, social workers, officials from various government and non-government institutions, students from various educational institutions, service recipients, and general citizens. This public hearing aimed to collect opinions and suggestions from the public on land-related matters.
Throughout the day at the fairground, audio and video content related to land services were broadcast, and booklets and leaflets on land services were distributed.
On the second day (Monday) of "Land Fair 2025", the agenda includes:Visiting land service stalls,Displaying audio-video content,Distributing booklets and leaflets on land services,Public hearing,Collecting feedback and suggestions in the visitor logbook,Land discussions (Land Adda),Providing various land-related services
On the final day (Tuesday), the activities will begin at 9 AM with a seminar and public awareness meeting on land services, attended by dignitaries, social workers, officials from different organizations, students, and service seekers. The closing day will also include:Stall visits,Audio/video content displays,Distribution of booklets and leaflets,Closing ceremony During the fair, out of 7 stalls at the DC office premises, 6 stalls are providing various land services, including payment of land development tax, e-mutation applications, and more. 1 stall is dedicated to receiving complaints and feedback from citizens and service seekers.
Additionally, three-day land fairs have also begun in Lohajang, Sreenagar, Sirajdikhan, Gazaria, and Tongibari upazilas of Munshiganj.
