
3-day Land Development Fair inaugurated in Gopalganj

A three-day Land Development Fair-2025 was inaugurated on Sunday morning at the premises of the Gopalganj Sadar Upazila Land Office by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Kamruzzaman.
The fair, organized under the theme “Pay land development tax regularly, keep your land secure,” aims to promote accessible land services.
The event was jointly organized by the Gopalganj District Administration and Sadar Upazila Land Office, with support from the Ministry of Land, Land Reform Board, and Land Management Automation Project. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rev ) S.M. Tarek Sultan, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Prabir Biswas, Sadar UNO M. Rakibul Hasan, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Miz Babli Shabnam, Assistant Land Officer S.M. Anichur Rahman, along with other land-related officials, representatives from print and electronic media, and service seekers.
During the inaugural address, District Administrator Muhammad Kamruzzaman stated, “Bangladesh’s land services are advancing through digital transformation. The digitization of land services has brought relief to citizens. The Ministry of Land is committed to establishing a hassle-free, citizen-friendly land service system.”
As part of the fair, a colourful rally was taken out from the District Administrator’s office at 10:00 AM, which paraded through the main streets of the town. The fair will run from May 25 to May 27, daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Visitors can avail various land-related services at designated stalls, including online mutation applications, collection of land records, mouza maps, and certified copies of khatians.
