27th branch of Sri Ramakrishna Temple to be inaugurated at Sarail in B'baria today

Belur Math, located on the west bank of the Hooghly River in the Belur region of Howrah city in the Indian State of West Bengal, one of the landmarks of the Kolkata-adjacent region.

The Ramakrishna temple at Belur Math is the heart of the Ramakrishna movement. This temple is an important architectural monument built with a mixture of Hindu, Islamic, Buddhist and Christian architecture.

As of 1 April 2023, the Ramakrishna Math and the Ramakrishna Mission have 269 centres all over the world.

Of these, 202 centres are in India and the remaining 67 are in 24 other countries (26 in Bangladesh, 14 in the USA, 3 in Brazil, 2 each in Canada, Russia and South Africa, and one each in Argentina, Australia, Fiji, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Mauritius, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, UK and Zambia). Further, there are 52 sub-centres (22 within India and 30 outside India) functioning under the above branch centres.

As the 27th branch of Ramakrishna temple in Bangladesh, the newly built Sri Ramakrishna temple will be inaugurated in Malais village under Sarail Upazila of Brahmanbaria district on Friday ( June 2,2023) which will be considered as a manifestation of great pride and rich culture for this township.

On the occasion of the auspicious inauguration and dedication ceremony of the newly -constructed Ramakrishna temple in Malaish village, various programmes were undertaken for three days with great enthusiasm.

On Friday, Dhaka Ramkrishna Math Principal and Ramkrishna Mission Secretary Guru Srimat Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj will be present as the chief guest.

Dr. Ashish Kumar Chakraborty, Managing Director of Universal Medical College Hospital will inaugurate the Sampriti Sobhayatra at 9 am on June 3-2023.

On 4th June 2023, the first session will be attended as the chief guest by Umme Fatema Nazma Shiuli Azad MP and in the second session, Brahmanbaria District Awami League General Secretary District Council Chairman, War wounded hero, valiant freedom fighter Al Mamun Sarkar will be present as the chief guest.

Also, in this event organized by Malaish Sri Sri Ramakrishna Sevashram, officials of local administration, dignitaries, monks and celibate monks from different centers of Ramakrishna Maths and missions abroad, representatives of different levels of society and representatives of different professions are expected to be present.

According to Sri Priotush Chakraborty, President of Sri Sri Ramakrishna Sevashram Committee, the temple has been built on 9 decimal of the land at a cost of Tk. 1 crore 25 lakh with its own funding of the disciples and devotees of Sri Ramakrishna.
