
22 lost mobile phones, cash recovered, returned to owners in Narail

Narail Cyber Crime Investigation Cell (CCIC) has recovered 22 lost mobile phones and cash, and handed them over to their owners on Tuesday.
Under the direct guidance of Narail Superintendent of Police Kazi Ehsanul Kabir, the recovery operations by the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell are ongoing.
Skilled officers of the cell—Sub-Inspector (unarmed) Md. Zainul Abedin, SI (unarmed) Gautam Kumar Pal, and SI (unarmed) Ali Hossain—along with other police personnel, are using information technology to recover mobile phones lost in the four police station areas of Narail district and money lost through online fraud.
As part of this initiative, in the month of April, 22 lost smartphones and BDT 18,000 lost through various types of online fraud were recovered. On Tuesday (May 13) at noon, the recovered smartphones and BDT 18,000 were formally handed over to the victims by Narail Superintendent of Police, Kazi Ehsanul Kabir.
The owners became overwhelmed with emotion and joy upon getting back their lost phones and money. Many of them expressed that they had almost lost hope of recovering these items, but the police's efforts restored their trust. They had filed general diaries (GD) at their nearest police stations and contacted the Narail Cyber Crime Investigation Cell, which led to the recovery.
They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Superintendent of Police and the members of the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell in Narail for their dedicated work and sincerity.
Also present at the handover event were Md. Ashraful Islam, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle), Narail; Md. Shah Dara Khan, Officer-in-Charge, District Detective Branch; along with other members of the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell in Narail.
