A 19-member convening committee was formed for the Singair Upazila Press Club at its office located on the 2nd floor of the Matir Prithibi Building on Saturday  in the presence of all members, the committee unanimously appointed the convener, joint conveners, member secretary, and members.

Committee members include Convener - Mazharul Islam (The Country Today and Dainik Amader Notun Somoy), Joint Conveners - 
  FM Ridom Prantor (Prithibi, The Morning Observer),  Md. Abdul Latif (Lawyer, Dainik Banglar Chitra),  Md. Jalal Uddin (Movie Bangla TV, Manikganj District Correspondent),  Md. Mostafizur Rahman Khan Mukul (Dainik Ajker Basundhara),  Md. Asif Hossain (ABC Online and E-Somoy),  Md. Robiul Islam (Staff Reporter, Dainik Prithibi Protidin and Dainik Sangbad Diganta), Member Secretary -  Sheikh Abdur Rashid (Sahasi Awaz Online, Staff Reporter for Jagani TV, and Special Correspondent for Dainik Sokaler Bangladesh)

The 19-member convening committee is committed to forming a full-fledged committee within the next three months. Prior to the committee’s activities, a prayer ceremony was held to mark the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, followed by the distribution of food (tobarak). Despite adverse weather conditions due to rain, journalists participated in phases, and some had to leave the event at different times
