17 arrested in Rajshahi city Including one in Operation Devil Hunt

A total of 17 individuals have been arrested, including one linked to the joint forces’ Operation Devil Hunt, alongside operations conducted by the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) and Detective Branch (DB) police in Rajshahi city.
Similar to efforts across the country, Operation Devil Hunt was carried out in Rajshahi metropolis to prevent instability. Over the past 24 hours, raids were conducted in various parts of the city, resulting in the arrest of one person accused of attacking the anti-discrimination student movement, causing explosions, engaging in terrorist activities, and other crimes. Additionally, RMP operations led to the arrest of 16 others, including five with outstanding warrants, five in drug-related cases, and six for various other offenses.
The individual arrested under Operation Devil Hunt is identified as Md. Aminul Islam, alias Amun (49), an Awami League activist. He is the son of the late Nurunnabi Sheikh from Kharbona Bajekajla area under Boalia Model Thana in Rajshahi metropolis.
Legal action has been initiated against all the arrested individuals.
