16 Bangladeshis killed in Saudi fire : Coffins of 7 bodies reached in Atrai

After being identified among the 16 Bangladeshis who died in a terrible fire at a sofa factory in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the coffins of 7 people from Naogaon have reached the house of Gand Gohali village in Atrai.

After the body reached the house, the air of the area became heavy with the cries and cries of the villagers and relatives. The sound of the hearse echoes through the village.
The bodies of nine people arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by Biman Bangladesh Airlines Flight BG-340 at 4:05 pm on Thursday.

Later, the body was handed over to the relatives after the formalities at the airport.
7 out of the 9 people who died are from Atrai Upazila of Naogaon. All of them were children of poor families, they took jobs in Sufa factory in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia by selling goods to make the family smile, what a cruel irony of God, they finally had to return to their families as dead bodies, this is a heartbreaking incident. The bereaved family members cannot accept it in any way.

The houses of the other two are in Bagmara of Rajshahi and Naldanga of Natore.
The victims of Atrai Upazila are - Md. of Udanpai village. Farid, Rubel Pramanik of Gohali village, Kalimuddin Islam, Mohan Ali and his younger brother Suman Ali, Sohail Rana of Dubai village and Abdul Jalil Sarkar of Parkasunda village.

Apart from this, the dead bodies of Rabiul Islam of Mahishdanga village of Naldanga upazila of Natore and Shyamal Uddin of Morugram of Bagmara upazila of Rajshahi have also been brought to the country.

Relatives said that even if the body of their loved one returns home after a long wait of 7 days, they will not be able to find it again - they cannot accept this fact in any way. A heartbreaking situation ensued with the cries and cries of the relatives.

It should be noted that 16 Bangladeshis were killed in a terrible fire in a sofa factory in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, on August 9. So far 9 people have been identified. These identified bodies were brought to the country on Thursday.

A heart-rending scene unfolded when the news of the bodies of the deceased reaching their respective areas spread.

The bodies of Atrai of Naogaon were buried on Friday (August 28) at 10:30 a.m. in the upazila Sadar and at Gandgohali Government Primary School grounds at 3 p.m. after prayers and funerals in their respective family graveyards.
