
13 shops burnt to ashes in Rangamati

Some 13 shops were burnt in stadium area of Rangamati city. This incident happened on Saturday morning. However, no casualties were reported in this incident.
After the incident, a unit of the service reached the spot and with the combined efforts of the army, police and local residents, the fire was brought under control after about two hours of effort.
Rangamati Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan visited the spot after the incident.
Locals said that the fire started from Ron Chakama's hotel tea shop. It has caused a loss of about crores of rupees.
Station Officer of Rangamati Fire Service Station. Billal Hossain said that 13 shop plots of one owner were burnt. Initially it is known that the fire started due to electrical short circuit. Damage assessment is underway.
