Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP), through special operations conducted by different police stations and the Detective Branch (DB), have arrested 13 people on various charges in the last 24 hours ending Monday.
Among them, one person was arrested on charges of involvement in an explosion, unlawful influence, and terrorist activities. Additionally, 12 others were detained on different charges — including 7 with pending warrants, 1 in a drug case, and 4 in other cases.
The arrestee in the explosives and terrorism-related case has been identified as Md. Mahbub Hasan (38), son of late Anwar Hossain, a resident of Meherchandi Koruitola under Chandrima Police Station in Rajshahi city.
RMP authorities confirmed that legal action has been taken against all the arrestees.
