12,000 Ansar, VDP. members to be deployed for polling center security in Gazipur

Ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election, the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) organized an election preparedness rally in Gazipur as part of efforts to strengthen electoral security.
Nearly 12,000 Ansar and VDP members will be deployed across the district to ensure comprehensive security at polling centers during the upcoming election.
The preparedness rally was held on Wednesday afternoon at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Joydebpur, Gazipur. A large number of Ansar and VDP members from different units of the district participated in the event.
The Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party, Major General Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, attended the rally as the chief guest.
In his address, the chief guest provided clear guidelines to Ansar and VDP members on their duties to ensure that the upcoming national parliamentary election and referendum are conducted in a free, fair, and peaceful manner. He emphasized the importance of ensuring polling center security, assisting voters, maintaining discipline, and coordinating closely with other law enforcement agencies.
Major General Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud said, the primary responsibility of Ansar and VDP members is to ensure an environment where voters can exercise their voting rights freely and without fear. Professionalism, neutrality, and integrity must be maintained while performing duties.”
He further informed that around 12,000 Ansar and VDP members will be deployed in various electoral areas of Gazipur district. During the election period, they will work in coordination with the police and other law enforcement agencies to ensure overall security.
