Lalmohan Police of Bhola conducted a special operation and arrested 11 members of an inter-district cow theft, robbery and robbery gang.

During this, 5 stolen cows were recovered. The 11 arrested people were sent to court on Saturday morning.

Additional SP (Lalmohan Circle) Md. Babul Akhter held a press briefing in this regard at Lalmohan Police Station on Saturday morning. Officer-in-Charge of Lalmohan Police Station Md. Sirajul Islam and SI Md. Abu Yusuf were present at the time.

At the press briefing, Md. Babul Akhter said that on the night of March 2, gang of robbers looted 16 cows from the cowshed of Zakir Mazi and his relatives. On March 3, Zakir Mazi filed a case under Section 379 at Lalmohan Police Station.

After the case, Additional SP, OC and other officers of Lalmohan Circle conducted a raid in Majerchar area of Baufal upazila of Patuakhali district in Barisal city through information technology and various sources and arrested the active members of the main criminal gang, Md. Nuru Gazi (45), Jewel Mridha (30), Mainuddin Pyada (30), Abul Hashem (40), Abu Taher (47). According to their confession, the 05 cows mentioned in the plaintiff's statement were recovered from the Shahabuddin Member Khowar of Majher Char in Baufal Upazila on March 7 from the accomplices Nizam (42), Mazaharul Hawlader (34), Ismat Hossain (19), Rezaul Sardar (45), Zakir Hawlader (52), Tofazzal Farazi (55). Md. Babul Akhter said that during the initial interrogation, they all confessed to being active members of an inter-district cow theft, robbery and robbery gang.
