10 things to notice while charging your smartphone

ICT Desk

Smartphone use has become an integral part of our daily lives in this age of modern science and technology. We are greatly dependent on the device for communication, entertainment, and maintaining other daily activities. Usually, we take care of the device regularly. But there are ten things that we have to be aware of when charging the smartphone, as they are very concerned with the lifetime of the device and its battery.

Technology experts suggest that users know about these ten important facts to keep in mind while charging their smartphones:

Use the original charger that comes with the official new handset, and always avoid using non-branded chargers as they can affect your smartphone battery which also results in slow charging time.

Always keep the battery charging percentage on your phone between 20% and 80%. Don’t overcharge or drain the battery to 0%. It may have a significant impact on your smartphone’s battery health.

Don’t use your smartphone while the charger is plugged in to the electricity socket, as it may sometimes pose a danger of explosion, especially in the case of old smartphones.

Your phone may get hot due to intensive apps or tasks, high screen brightness, background processes, or many other reasons. Avoid charging the phone during this time. Keep it in a cooler place and wait for the device to get back to its normal temperature.

Don’t charge your phone when there is a thunderstorm outside. It may cause harm both to your phone and the charger.

When your smartphone has a low battery level, charge it until it reaches at least 70–80 percent. Don’t charge it to a lower level, like 25–30 percent, then unplug it and do it again and again.

Every smartphone has a built-in battery management system pre-installed by the manufacturer. Skip using a third-party battery app to monitor battery activities while it’s being charged. It may create unwanted battery consumption on the phone.

In some places, the electricity voltage goes up and down frequently. Try not to charge your phone in these places to avoid any potential danger.

Avoid using substandard power banks to charge your smartphone. These power banks may save you some money, but they may cause significant harm to your smartphone battery in the long run.

If your smartphone is protected by an external cover, it is advised to remove the cover while charging the phone. The cover may contribute to generating extra heat for the phone, resulting in a potential risk to battery health.

If you can follow the above ten tips suggested by the tech enthusiasts, you can expect to have a better smartphone experience than ever before in terms of battery life.
