Financial assistance checks were distributed among underprivileged and meritorious students, victims of abuse, vulnerable individuals, and patients suffering from critical illnesses under various welfare funds of the Ministry of Social Welfare and the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs in Ghoraghat, Dinajpur. Additionally, bicycles were distributed to 60 female students from various educational institutions across the upazila.

The distribution ceremony took place on Friday organized jointly by the Upazila Administration, the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), the Department of Social Services, and the Department of Women Affairs. Presided over by UNO Rubana Tanzim, the event was attended by Minister of Social Welfare and Women & Children Affairs, Prof Dr. A.Z.M. Zahid Hossain, MP, as the chief guest.

Under the Department of Women Affairs, financial support checks were distributed to 106 individuals from the Welfare Fund for Abused and Vulnerable Women and Children. Through the Department of Social Services, financial aid was provided to 96 underprivileged and bright students.

Furthermore, financial assistance was handed over to 11 patients battling cancer and kidney diseases, as well as 64 vulnerable individuals from ethnic minority communities.

During the event, bicycles were handed over to 60 female students from nine educational institutions in Ghoraghat Upazila. Officials stated that this initiative aims to facilitate students' commute to school and encourage their interest in education.

The event was attended by Deputy Director of Dinajpur District Social Services Abdul Matin, Nawabganj-Birampur ASP Harej Ali, ASP to Prof Dr. A.Z.M. Zahid Hossain Dr. Md. Javed Hossain, Upazila Social Services Officer Masud Rana, Upazila Women Affairs Officer Niranjan Kumar, Upazila BNP President Shamim Chowdhury, and Municipal BNP President Abdus Sattar Milon, alongside various government officials, teachers, students, and citizens from different walks of life.
