'Aguner Parashmoni' : A of 'Guerrilla' in Dhaka city

Alok Acharaya

The name of the most important chapter in the life of the people of Bangladesh is 1971. Freedom and victory were the two desired words of the time. As the people of Palestine are fighting for freedom today. Many stories, novels, poems, songs, movies, plays, etc. have been, are and will be about the events of that time. This is normal. For more than fifty years we have carried this memory forward.

Talking about the notable books written on the War of Independence, it is especially important to mention of the popular writer Humayun Ahmed, 'Aguner Parashmani'. Wrote all classic novels. Every novel is an invaluable asset in literary terms. In these novels, the situation during the liberation war has been described in detail. But this book is a little different. There are also variations in the plot of the book.

The novel Aguner Parashmoni is family oriented and revolves around the story of the urban guerilla freedom fighter. Therein lies the story of love. There have also been movies about it. It is also popular and has gained great popularity. Famous actor Asaduzzaman Noor of Baker Bhai has played the role of freedom fighter Badiul Alam. Famous books have been made into famous movies in the past and still are.

It is in Bangladesh as well as outside. Like those books, films also leave a response among the audience. It moves the audience who read the book the most. I think so. Readers then become spectators and try to see how well the story has adapted from the book to the screen. Whether the characters in the book come across properly on the screen or not. These questions revolve in the head. That is why there is a difference in the interest and analysis of the audience reading these books from the general audience.

In Bengali literature many novels and films have been made based on our great liberation war. There are many examples. New literature is constantly being created. Each branch of literature is presenting the liberation war and the situation of that time to the new generation. Writers are presenting the war of liberation to the readers through poems, short stories, novels and essays. In the future, many more literary works will be written focusing on the liberation war.

The effects of war are always terrible and harmful. War is also the source of some of the world's greatest literary and artistic works. It has happened in every nation. The liberation war of 1971, the most memorable event of the Bengali nation, has gained a new dimension in the hands of all the country's leading writers. In other words, being a writer or a poet, 1971 has no power to exclude the events.

The main character of the novel is actually a freedom fighter named Badilul Alam, but in fact the surrounding characters are also one of the main characters. Matin Saheb, the master of the family in which Badiul Alam came or took shelter in Dhaka city. He gave shelter to the freedom fighter commander who, knowing the danger, did not tell anyone in the family, not even his wife Surma. Not everyone has this courage. Matin Saheb had. It goes without saying that Dhaka city was a death pit. How terrible was the situation at that time.

Successful operation one after another with seven freedom fighters from Badiul Alam of Dhaka city instilled the hope of freedom in the mind of Matin Saheb. He was overcome with emotion while listening to Akashbani at night. One thing to be said here is that in this dire situation, Matin Sahib's elder daughter fell in love with freedom fighter Badiul Alam at night.

Although no one knew about that love nor had that opportunity but his mother could have put the right. Even in these difficult times, the night's attraction to Badiul Alam captivates the reader. If they had really met at the end of the novel, it would not have been bad. But that didn't happen. A clever writer captures this emotion of the reader. Matin Saheb's wife Surma. She is an incredibly intelligent woman. You can tell by seeing the incident.

As he understood his daughter's weakness towards Badiul Alam, he recognized Badiul Alam. He did not have to be told that he was a freedom fighter. This intelligent woman seems to be a little afraid of Mr. Matin! At first description he seems to be quite angry and serious type of person. He was also very upset about giving shelter to such a ostentatious person. Because there are two young girls in the house. But gradually she started behaving motherly towards Badiul Alam. The novel does not have many characters. In the story, the atmosphere of the entire city of Dhaka came to a standstill. Everyone is waiting for something to happen. One or thousands of death monsters scattered around.

On the one hand, a family's desperate efforts to save an unknown injured freedom fighter and on the other hand, another freedom fighter of the group named Ashfaq, after being captured by the military, does not open his mouth despite brutal torture.

A bit emotional, a bit real these things are in the novel at the end. One such night no doctor was available to treat Badiul Alam. This is real. At last there is a new morning. a dawn Not everyone is lucky enough to see that dawn.
