
Women's World Cup Qualifiers: Bangladesh crush hosts Pakistan by 167 runs in warm-up match

Bangladesh Women’s team crushed hosts Pakistan Women by a massive 167 runs in their second warm-up match ahead of the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers at the historic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday.
Earlier, Bangladesh beat Scotland by five wickets in their first warm-up match, also in Lahore.
In Tuesday’s match, Bangladesh batted first after winning the toss and posted a competitive total of 276 runs in 40.4 overs, thanks to a 109-run third-wicket partnership between opener Fargana Haque and captain Nigar Sultana.
Captain Nigar Sultana top-scored with 70 off 72 balls, hitting nine fours and one six, while Fargana Haque made 50 off 85 deliveries with five boundaries.
Tailender Jannatul Ferdous remained unbeaten on 46, while Dilara Akter (29), Ishma Tajnim (19), Nahida Akter (13), Sobhana Mostary (12), and Sharmin Akter (10) also made useful contributions.
Umme Hani and Waheeda Akter took three wickets each for Pakistan, while Tania Saeed picked up two.
In reply, Pakistan Women were bowled out for just 109 runs in 39.1 overs. Dua Majid (32), Umme Hani (not out 26), and Eyman Fatima (15) were the only batters to reach double figures.
Rabeya Khan, Marufa Akter, and Fahima Khatun took two wickets each for Bangladesh.
