
Various free materials distributed among farmers in Pangsha

In the 2024-25 fiscal year, under the initiative of the Department of Agricultural Extension, free seeds, fertilizers, fruit seedlings, vegetable seeds and air flow machines have been distributed among small and marginal farmers/institutions in Pangsha Upazila of Rajbari to increase crop cultivation and production.
The distribution program was held on Monday afternoon at the Upazila Parishad premises.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Muhammad Tofazzal Hossain was in the chair, and Upazila Nirbahi Officer S. M. Abu Darda was present as the chief guest.
During this time, paddy seeds and fertilizers were distributed among 1,990 farmers as support for the cultivation of disease-resistant seedlings in the Kharif-2 season in the 2024-25 fiscal year. In addition, 490 students were given coconut seedlings, 150 mango and date seedlings, 1,840 neem, jam, betel and jackfruit seedlings. Onion seeds and fertilizers were distributed to 60 farmers, summer vegetable seeds to 70 farmers, and air flow machines for onion storage were distributed to 175 farmers.
The speakers at the event said that the current government has launched various incentive programs among farmers for the development of agriculture. As part of this, these free materials are being distributed.
