Two arrested with huge quantity of yaba tablets in separate operations in Narail

In separate operations in Narail, two individuals were arrested with a large quantity of Yaba tablets. Narail’s Naragati Thana Police arrested a drug trafficker named Md. Saikat Shikdar (25), son of Md. Ansar Shikdar, from Dor Ballati village under Naragati Thana on Thursday.
Md. Saikat Shikdar was apprehended on the paved road in front of the Madhyapara Jame Mosque in Pakhimara village, under Pahar Danga Union No. 10 of Naragati Thana. Based on confidential information, a team led by Naragati Thana’s Officer-in-Charge Md. Ashikur Rahman, along with SI (Unarmed) Hasan Mahmud and ASI (Unarmed) Md. Ikram Hossain, conducted the operation and arrested Md. Saikat Shikdar (25). During the operation, 15 Yaba tablets were seized from the accused. A case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act at Naragati Thana, and the accused has been presented before the court.
In another operation, Narail Detective Branch (DB) police arrested one individual with 50 Yaba tablets. The arrested drug trafficker, Md. Raju Gazi (28), son of Md. Mahabbat Gazi, is from Mahishkhola village under Narail Sadar Thana. He was apprehended on the paved road in front of Sumon Hasan’s workshop at Malibag Mor, under Auria Union No. 4 of Narail Sadar Thana. Based on confidential information, a team led by Narail DB’s Officer-in-Charge Md. Shahadara Khan (PPM), along with SI (Unarmed) Jahangir Alam and ASI (Unarmed) Nahid Niaz, conducted the operation and arrested Md. Raju Gazi (28). During the operation, 50 Yaba tablets were seized from the accused. A case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act at Narail Sadar Thana, and the accused has been presented before the court.
Under the direction of Narail District Police Superintendent Kazi Ehsanul Kabir, the district police are working sincerely to make Narail drug-free.
