On the occasion of the birthday of Dr. Zubaida Rahman, the wife of BNP's Acting Chairman Mr. Tarique Rahman, a tree plantation program was observed in Santahar, Adamdighi, Bogura.

 At the initiative of the youth community of Damdama village in the Santahar Union of the upazila, various types of fruit and forest trees were planted on both sides of the Damdama-Prashad Khali road on this Friday morning. 

In this ocasion party's leader District BNP’s Social Welfare Secretary Mahfuzul Haque Tikon, Santahar Municipal Jubo Dal Convener and former Councillor Wahedul Islam, Upazila Jubo Dal leader Korman Ali Master, prominent businessman Faruk Hossain, rural physician Majedur Rahman, Municipal Jubo Dal Office Secretary Jakirul Islam Jewel, Municipal Chhatra Dal Senior Joint Secretary Abdul Aziz Abid, Government College Chhatra Dal President Mahbub Alam, Municipal Chhatra Dal Social Service Secretary Sohag Hossain, and many others were present.

After the tree plantation, Mahfuzul Haque Tikon said, Dr. Zubaida Rahman is a talented physician. She joined government service by securing first place in the BCS (Health). But the fascist government did not allow her to remain in that job. Nevertheless, her academic excellence did not stop. She achieved a higher degree in cardiology with the highest marks and a gold medal from Imperial College, London. On August 5, a process began to reinstate her in her job through the downfall of the fascist regime. We are hopeful that in the future she will again contribute to the medical service for the people of Bangladesh with her intelligence and expertise.

After the tree plantation, a special prayer was offered for Dr. Zubaida Rahman and her family, for the well-being of Begum Khaleda Zia, and for the peace and prosperity of the country and the nation.
