Seized two trawlers with passengers from Padma River, fined

Daulatdia Naval Police seized two engineered trawlers on Saturday for crossing the passenger in the dense fog on the Daulatdia-Paturia highway.

Later, they were fined and alerted by a mobile court for 5 rupees. Goalando Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Md. Asaduzzaman.

They were arrested on Saturday (February 7th) while raiding the Padma River while carrying passengers.

The detainees are Anu Mondal, 5, son of Jurai Mondal of Daulatdia Union of Goalando upazila, Dulal Sheikh (5), son of Mohiuddin Sheikh of the same area and Ershad Sheikh (1) of Mohiuddin Sheikh.

It is learned that Inspector Enamul Haque, SI Mehdi Hasan Apurba, SI Md. Masud Rana ASI Enamul accompanied the Sanghian Force on Saturday morning in the dense fog on the Padma River. At that time, they arrested two trawlers and three people from Daulatdia Ghat to the trawler from Paturia Ghatagi and Paturiaghat.

The three arrested were later taken to the mobile court at noon. The court granted a fine.

Inspector Enamul Haque of the Daulatdia Naval Police outpost said that no boat is allowed in dense fog. On receiving the news, two trawlers seized and arrested three men and sent them to the mobile court. Our expedition will continue.
