Rizwana mourns death of BCCT MD Rafiqul Islam

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan today condoled the death of Bangladesh Climate Change Trust (BCCT) Managing Director Md Rafiqul Islam.
In a condolence message, she said Rafiqul Islam was a good-natured, efficient and responsible officer, while he joined BCCT as the managing director in July this year and was performing his duties with dedication.
The environment adviser prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
In a separate message, Environment Secretary Dr Farhina Ahmed also expressed deep shock at the death of Rafiqul.
Rafiqul passed away today, while undergoing treatment at a city hospital.
The BCCT managing director is survived by wife, a son and well-wishers.
He joined the administration cadre in 1999 as a member of the 18th BCS and worked in various capacities.
