Bangladesh Coast Guard has distributed relief materials among flood-hit.family in Feni
Coast Guard Headquarters Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Harun-ur-Rashid informed this through a press release at Sunday noon.
The press release stated that since its inception, Bangladesh Coast Guard has come forward to meet various needs of underprivileged, helpless, and distressed people in disaster management and socio-economic development in coastal, riverside, and flood-affected areas. Alongside, it is working tirelessly to establish peace and order and ensure public safety in maritime and riverside areas. Due to recent continuous heavy rainfall and water coming down from upstream, waterlogging and flood situations have arisen in the low-lying areas of Chhagalnaiya, Phulgazi, Parshuram, and Sadar upazilas of Feni district, as a result of which thousands of families have become displaced and taken shelter in shelters. Besides, countless people are living a miserable life trapped by water in their respective homes.
On Sunday under the management of Bangladesh Coast Guard East Zone, comprehensive assistance was provided to helpless and distressed families in the flood-affected areas of Satkuchia, Dakshin Berabaria, Shoilia, Sahebnagar, and Chitalia under Parshuram upazila of Feni, along with the distribution of relief materials among the helpless and distressed families.
