Press conference in protest against seizure of ancestral property in Magura, Tala

The victim family held a press conference in protest against the seizure of ancestral property in Chandkati village of Magura union of Satkhira Tala on Sunday.
Golam Mostafa, son of Zeher Ali Morol of Chandkati village of Magura union of the victim upazila, read out a written statement at the press conference at the Tala Upazila Press Club.
Golam Mostafa said in a written statement- my land tenure and records were obtained from the ancestral sources of Vitabari for more than 100 years since the time of my father, and I have been living peacefully with land tenure. In such a situation, on Wednesday, 07/05/2025, some mischievous people came to my house and tried to take possession.
It is to be noted that under the leadership of Dr. Kamal Hossain, Secretary of Jamaat Islam of 08 Magura Union, 1. Yakub Ali, Ping- Ibrahim Morol, 2. Mannan Gazi, Ping- deceased A. Rahman Gazi, 3. Ashadul Morol, Ping- Samor Uddin Morol, 4. Aminur Rahman, Ping- Ghaffar Sheikh and some unknown people attacked my house. I was left with no choice but to call the National Emergency Service 999. Immediately the police arrived at the scene. The miscreants left the scene after knowing the presence of the police. They had carried out such attacks in the past. On 8/5/25, the learned court issued a stay order in my favor. I submitted the order to the police station. Whose case no. 775/25, even after the police gave them the said order, they attacked my house several times or tried to build a concrete structure there and when the police went, they fled. When I went to protest, they threatened me with various kinds of threats and threatened to destroy my life. I am in danger of losing my house along with my life. Therefore, if the administration does not actively intervene, such incidents may increase, so I seek redress from the countrymen and law enforcement agencies regarding the above issue.
