A party has claimed illegal appointment of Sheikh Faisalur Rahman Swapan, Motwali appointed by Dr. Syed Sakhawat Hossain Waqf Awlady Estate in Mithapukurpar area of Bagerhat town.

By illegally becoming a Motwali, the influential Sheikh Faisalur Rahman Swapan has embezzled a huge amount of money from the rent of various shops and institutions on the estate's land and deprived the partners of the Waqf Estate of their dues.

Another partner of the Waqf Awlady Estate named Sheikh Takdir Hossain Babu made this allegation at a press conference at the Bagerhat Press Club on Saturday afternoon.

In his written statement, he said, according to the original document of Dr. Syed Sakhawat Hossain Waqf Awlady Estate, only male descendants of male heirs can become Motwallis. But Sheikh Faisalur Rahman Swapan illegally became Motwallis by using the power of influential people during the Awami League era.

After that, his wife Awami League leader Mosha: Lina Mou, niece Araf bin Sourav, brother-in-law Md. Ahidul Islam and several dishonest associates are trying to occupy 3 buildings, sawmills built with our own funds.

Last January 16, Araf bin Sourav and his father behaved violently with everyone in our family. Sourav and his father raised their hands on my two daughters and wife. A general diary has been filed in this regard at Bagerhat Model Police Station.

Despite all this, on the 26th of last month, Sheikh Faisalur Rahman Swapan held a press conference at the Bagerhat Press Club and lied against me. He made various false allegations against me and our heirs, which has tarnished our reputation. I strongly condemn all this.

In addition, this Sheikh Faisalur Rahman Swapan is an opportunist. When the party in power is used, he uses them to get the assets of the Waqf Estate.

The main assets of this Waqf Estate are 14 acres, 92 percent. But Sheikh Faisalur Rahman Swapan has illegally transferred 12 acres of property to various people to achieve his own interests. We want the return of the illegally transferred property.

In addition, after he became a mutawalli, he has embezzled a huge amount of money for the rent of various shops and institutions on the estate land. We want the return of the illegally transferred assets and the embezzled money. Along with this, this heir of the Waqf Estate demanded justice for being illegally appointed as a Motwalli and for the beating of my daughter and wife.

At the press conference, Sheikh Takdir Hossain Babu and some heirs of the Waqf Estate including Khandaker Altafur Rahman, Sheikh Ferdous Ur Rahman, Sheikh Mahir Taj were present.

Earlier, on January 26, Motwalli Sheikh Faisalur Rahman Swapan held a press conference at the Bagerhat Press Club. At that time, he had pleaded to be saved from the torture, torture, harassment and oppression of Sheikh Takdir Hossain Babu.

In addition, he claimed that Sheikh Takdir Hossain Babu is a business associate of Md. Ashraful Islam, Joint General Secretary of Khulna Metropolitan Awami League.
