
Press confce of Anti-discrimination Student Movement in Barishal with 5-point demands

Leaders of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement held a press conference in Barishal demanding five points, including the speedy implementation of the July Charter and better treatment for injured students.
The Barishal District Committee of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement organized the press conference on contemporary issues at the Barisal Press Club Hallroom on Sunday at 11:30 am.
At the press conference, the leaders claimed that even though ten months have passed since the mass uprising, the government has not been able to issue the July Declaration. They are making excuses about the declaration.
At that time, they demanded the release of the July manifesto within the next seven working days. At the same time, they demanded the withdrawal of the statement of the EC's chief advisor on whether the Awami League will be able to participate in the elections or not, the visible trial of the murderers involved in the genocide, and the speedy bringing of Awami League's associates under the law.
Sabbir Hossain Sohag, convener of the Barishal District Committee Anti-Discrimination Students' Movement, read out a written statement at the press conference. The organization's district leaders were present at the time.
