Police without party affiliation are the true friends of the people. Another name for the fear of terrorists, corrupt people and drug dealers is the police. So what kind of friend is the police to the people?

There are various speculations and fantasies among the common people about this. In the real sense, it is also true that the police are the friends of the people. Are people's speculations worth completely dispelling? Police without party affiliation and neutrality are the true friends of the people! Those who work tirelessly to protect state resources.

Those who risk their lives and guard the homes of the public, MPs-ministers, government officials and bureaucrats at night, protecting the safety of the lives and property of the public are called police. My question is if the police are the friends of the people, then why are people so afraid of the police? There is a proverb about the thief police! 'When the police see the thief, the thief runs away' and when the thief runs away, his intelligence increases. That is, corrupt people are afraid of the police. They make various comments about the police. I think that drug dealers, corrupt people, terrorists are enemies of the country, they are enemies of society. The role of the police is not less in any way in eliminating the enemies of society. I think that it is not even possible to run a state without the police. However, in reality, a police force free from party affiliation will be the true friend of the people! Is it true that the reputation of the police force is tarnished because of some dishonest and corrupt people inside and outside the police force?

It is not because of a few dishonest police officers that the police force is dishonest. It is the responsibility of all citizens to analyze the good and the bad together. It is the moral right of every citizen to call the good good and the bad bad. Therefore, commenting on someone without knowing them well is like living in a fool's paradise. The target of the fraudsters is fraud, and the target of the police is fraudsters and terrorists.

Then it is natural to fear the police. Therefore, the police is the name of the fear of corrupt people, fraudsters and terrorists. In the past, people did not have faith and trust in the Bangladesh Police Force. At that time, the police worked to implement the agenda of a political party or a group through partyization on the orders of the higher authorities. In return, they enjoyed various privileges including promotions. The common people of this country never expected the transformation of the police after the change in the country's perspective. A friend of the people, a police of the people or a humane police can never work to implement the agenda of a particular party.

A police free from partyization will be the true friend of the people. I was saying that an honest and exemplary police officer (OC) Sarkar Mohammad. Tofail Ahmed joined the Gowainghat police station in Sylhet after August 5. One day, I suddenly went to meet the OC regarding an important news item. He was out due to other work, I was also waiting in the duty officer's room, after about an hour, OC Tofail Ahmed got out of the car. His face was full of tiredness and sadness.

In this situation, there was no situation to talk. After some time, a policeman entered the duty officer's room and told me, "Raju brother, OC sir is calling you." At that time, I felt very uncomfortable. Before entering the room, I said, "Will you come?" The OC replied, "Yes, come!" I looked at him with a fixed gaze, he asked me with a smile, "How are you?" I replied, "I am fine." We talked for a long time about various issues including the anti-discrimination student-public movement.

While we were talking, it seemed that OC Sarkar Tofail Ahmed was very interested in speaking for truth and justice. After joining Gowainghat Police Station, he launched an anti-drug campaign to create a drug-free society in Gowainghat Upazila by freeing brokers. OC Sarkar Mohammad. Tofail Ahmed is not only an honest and exemplary policeman, but also a friend of the people free from partisanship. May all the policemen free from partisanship, following the path of truth and justice, be true friends of the people.
