National Youth Day 2026 was celebrated in Bogura with various arrangements under the theme "Skilled Youth Will Build the Country, Bangladesh for All". On the occasion of the day, a colorful rally, balloon flight, tree plantation, discussion meeting, youth entrepreneur fair and awards were given to successful entrepreneurs at the District Regional Youth Center located at Tinmatha in the city on Sunday morning.

The guests formally inaugurated the day by releasing balloons at 11 am on Sunday.

 After that, a colourful rally circled the main roads of the city and  a neem sapling was planted in the premises of the Youth Center by the chief guest of the event, State Minister for Water Resources, Farhad Hossain Azad, MP.

Later, a discussion meeting was held in the hall of the Department of Youth Development.

Chief guest at the event, State Minister Farhad Hossain Azad said, "The youth, the potential and driving force of the country, has not been properly managed until now and in the past, the fascist government has tried to destroy the youth." He also said, "Currently, initiatives have been taken to make the youth work-oriented and skilled through developing their thinking, consciousness and talent. The youth will act as the main driving force of the country's prosperity."

Special guest at the event, Member of Parliament from Bogura-6 (Sadar) Constituency and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Housing and Public Works Md. Rezaul Karim Badsha said, "Our party chairman wants to develop the youth as the main driving force of the country. Special emphasis is being given to technical education, third language and modern technology to make the youth work-oriented." 

Bogura DC Md. Taufiqur Rahman said, "For the progress of the country and the well-being of the family, it is very important to make one-third of the country's youth and about 50 percent of women skilled and trained." 

Deputy Director of the Bogura  District Youth Development Department Md. Shahabuddin Sardar delivered the welcome speech at the event. Also present were Bogra City Corporation Administrator MR Islam Swadhin, Bogura  SP  Mirza Sayem Mahmud, PPM, Bogura  District Council Administrator AKM Ahsanul Tayyab Zakir and Bogra District Chhatra Dal General Secretary MR Hasan Palash. Metropolitan BNP General Secretary Moniruzzaman Moni.

After the discussion,  awards and prizes were distributed in the categories of self-employed workers, youth organizers and successful entrepreneurs. The successful self-employed workers who received the National Youth Award are: Mosha Suraiya Farhana Reshma of Sherpur and Md. Rezwanul Islam of Dhunat. Atiqul Islam and Md. Redyanul Islam Akib, general secretary of Bogra District Youth Council, received the Youth Volunteer Award for their outstanding contribution to social service and public welfare as youth organizers.

The award-winning entrepreneurs are: Shalin Agro Farm Managing Director Md. Hasan Ali, Eso Bangla Marketplace Founding Director Ripon Kumar, MS Fashion Managing Director Md. Sultana Akhter and Chander Alo Youth Organization President Mohidul Islam. In addition, the award-winning organizers include Ashar Alo Youth Development Organization General Secretary Prarthana Rani, Prochast Youth Development Organization President Md. Redyanul Islam Aqib, Tiorpara Youth Development Organization Md. Real Sarkar and Youth Development Department Executive Director Md. Asadul Islam.

To celebrate the day, a three-day 'Youth Entrepreneur Fair-2026' has been organized at the Bogra Regional Youth Center in Tinmathas, a city.
