Mahila League leader arrested in Chatmohar explosive case

Police arrested Bhangura Upazila Mahila League leader Azida Parveen Pakhi (35) in a Chatmohar explosive case in Pabna.
Pakhi is the president of Bhangura Upazila Women's League and former women's vice chairman. Chatmohar police arrested her with the help of Pabna DB police from a house in Chatmohar municipal headquarters on Friday night.
It is learnt that she had been in hiding for a long time. However, recently she had been running anti-government propaganda on Facebook. Based on secret information, the police conducted a drive and arrested her. She is one of the accused in the Handial explosive case filed with Chatmohar police station.
Confirming the truth of the incident, Chatmohar police station OC Md. Manjurul Alam said, this Mahila league leader had been in hiding in Chatmohar for quite some time.
Based on a secret tip-off, Chatmohar police, with the help of Pabna DB police, arrested him and sent him to jail through the court on Saturday morning.
