
Library inaugurated at Women's Custody Cell in Munshiganj Court

A library was inaugurated at the women's custody cell of the Munshiganj Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Tuesday, at 3:30 PM, and was officiated by Chief Judicial Magistrate Gazi Delwar Hossain.
Earlier, on January 7, a separate library was set up at the men’s custody cell of the court. This initiative has been taken by the Chief Judicial Magistracy to allow detainees brought to court to spend their idle time reading books before legal proceedings begin—enabling them to acquire knowledge and focus on self-improvement.
Present at the event under the overall supervision of Senior Judicial Magistrate and Judge in charge of the Nazir section, Shahidul Islam, were Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Md. Ziaur Rahman, Senior Judicial Magistrates Manik Das, Muhsina Hossain Tushi, Nusrat Sharmin, Mst. Rahima Akter, and Rana Rahman.
President of the District Lawyers’ Association Advocate Md. Zakaria Molla, General Secretary Advocate Md. Parvez Alam, Government Pleader (GP) of the District and Sessions Judge Court and former General Secretary of the Bar Association Adv Md. Tota Mia, Public Prosecutor (PP) Adv Md. Halim Hossain, Special Public Prosecutor of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Adv Md. Jahangir Hossain Dhali, Additional Public Prosecutor and former General Secretary of the Bar Association Adv Rozina Yasmin, Additional Public Prosecutor Adv Nasim Akhtar Sumon, and Assistant Public Prosecutor Adv Md. Shah Alam, among others were present.
