The Kishoreganj Journalists Forum, Dhaka (KJFD), has elected a new committee for the term 2025–27. In this newly formed committee, Nahiduzzaman Nahid has been elected President and Md. Mizanur Rahman Kiron as  General Secretary.

The election was held on Saturday (May 17) at a restaurant in Segunbagicha. Members of the organization’s advisory council and general members were present at the event.

Election Commissioner Shohidul Islam presided over the election process, with the assistance of Assistant Election Commissioners Moinuddin Ahmed, Shafiq Islam, Md. Riaz Uddin, and Md. Mehedi Hasan.

The elected committee includes Senior Vice President Masum Billah, Vice Presidents Shahedul Islam Bishwas, Shafiq Islam, and Sakibul Islam; Joint General Secretaries are Imran Hossain (Masum) and Rakibul Hasan; Organizing Secretary is Kazi Khairul Bashar; Office Secretary is Shamim Ahsan; Finance Secretary is Md. Emon Mia; Publicity and Publication Secretary is Md. Rubel; Sports and Cultural Secretary is Rafiqul Islam Rafiq; and ICT Secretary is Md. Al-Amin.

Executive Members include Al-Amin Masud, Sohel Rana, Nasir Uddin Lablu, Manzurul Alam Manju, Aslam Hossain, Md. Rasel, and Rashedul Hasan (Rashed).

On behalf of the new committee, President Nahiduzzaman Nahid and General Secretary Mizanur Rahman Kiron expressed their commitment to working for the betterment of members and the development of journalism.

Present at the event were Forum’s Founding President Md. Jashim Uddin, Former Presidents Mujibur Rahman Sumon, Mohsin Sardar, BNP leader and journalist Md. Ziaul Haque Sumon, and others.

The newly- elected President Nahiduzzaman Nahid is the Executive Editor of Dainik Amar Kagoj. Kiron is the Executive Editor of the online news portal Allnewsbd24.com.
