In Rajbari's Goalanda, social organization "Hossain Youth Foundation" has gifted two new battery-powered rickshaws to two helpless people named Chanu Pramanik and Motaleb Sheikh.
The two rickshaws were handed over to them in front of the Al-Torap Jame Mosque in Daulatdia Jadu Fakir Para after Friday prayers.
The helpless Chanu Pramanik is a resident of Daulatdia Sonaullah Fakir Para and Motalep Sheikh is a resident of Dewan Para village of the municipality. It is known that despite living in the modern era, these two still used to drive pedal rickshaws for rent.
Hossain Youth Foundation advisors Md. Selim Sheikh, Md. Sultan Molla, along with mosque committee leaders and other members of Hossain Youth Foundation were present at the rickshaw distribution ceremony.
Two helpless rickshaw drivers said, "Life was very difficult driving a pedal-powered rickshaw. No one wants to get into a foot-powered rickshaw. That's why our income was very low. A few days ago, when Hossain Bhai came home from abroad, he built these two rickshaws for us as soon as we told him about our difficulties." They also said, "We will never forget the help Hossain Bhai has given us. Now we will not be in need anymore."
Hossain Youth Foundation Advisor Md. Sultan Molla said that the organization is working in the service of humanity with the financial support and guidance of Hossain Youth Foundation founder, Saudi expatriate Mohammad Hossain. The organization tries to stand by the helpless people in various ways.
