Genocide Day-2025 Observed at BAUET Campus

Various day-long programs were held on the
Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET) campus on the occasion of
Genocide Day-2025 on 25 March 2025 (Tuesday). The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the
university Brigadier General Md. Mizanuzzaman was present as the chief guest.
A remembrance and discussion meeting was organized at the university's Skylight Hall on the
occasion of Genocide Day-2025 at 10:30 am. In the program the valiant freedom fighter Md.
Azizur Rahman Sarkar commemorated the genocide committed in Natore and various places in the
country. Md. Hamidur Rahman, Associate Professor of the Department of English and Additional
Director of IQAC moderated the discussion meeting.
Among others present at the event were University Treasurer Colonel Md. Shawkat Hossain, psc
(Retd.), Registrar Lt. Colonel KFA Sohel (Retd.), Dean, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
Professor Dr. Md. Nurul Islam, Dean,Faculty of Law Professor Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Dean,
Faculty of ECE Professor Mohammad Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan, Proctor, Student Welfare Advisor,
Heads of Departments, officers and employees.
In addition, the message of His Excellency the President and the Honorable Chief Advisor was
disseminated, special prayers were offered at BAUET Central Mosque after Zuhr for the
forgiveness of the souls of the martyrs, and a symbolic blackout was observed by switching off the
