Five arrested with firearms in Rajbari

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-10 arrested five individuals and seized five firearms during a drive in Ramkantapur area under Rajbari Sadar Upazila on Monday.
The team from CPC-3 of RAB-10's Faridpur Camp conducted the raid at Koidanga village in Ramkantapur between 10:15 am and 11:30 am based on secret information.
RAB officials announced this at a press conference held at their Faridpur office on Monday noon.
During the drive at the residences of Alam Sardar and Md. Bahadur Biswas, elite forces recovered one British Cutaway rifle, one single-barrel gun, and three local one-shooter guns.
The arrestees were identified as Alam Sardar (40), Md. Ibrahim Sheikh (44), Md. Bahadur Biswas (58), Md. Faysal Chowdhury alias Farid (37), and Raju Ahmed Tokon (45).
According to RAB, several arrestees have prior criminal records. Ibrahim Sheikh faces one arms case; Faysal Chowdhury has two cases involving arms and extortion; and Raju Ahmed Tokon is accused in three cases related to kidnapping, extortion, and robbery preparation.
