Fire in Picture Palace : 5 shops gutted, fire under control in Khulna

Khulna Picture Palace was set on fire and five temporary shops were gutted . The fire service tried for about 5 minutes and brought the fire under control. The fire broke out early Wednesday morning.
Locals said that a few days ago, six temporary shops of small size were set up at the Picture Palace Cinema Hall. These include cloth, cosmetics and crockery shops. The fire broke out at around 7 am in the shops.
According to the Fire Service, five units of the fire started working on the fire from around 7:30 am abd the fire brought under control within five minutes at 8 am. However, the Fire Service could not immediately say the cause of the fire and the extent of damage.
Khulna Sadar Police Station Officer -in -Charge Sanwar Hossain Masum said police went to the spot after receiving the news of the fire in the morning. Several shops turned into ashes.
