Ex- president of Satkhira District Swechchhasebak Dal Manik expelled

Following an attack on Satkhira Sadar Hospital, former president of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in Satkhira, Sohel Ahmed Manik, has been expelled from all party positions, including primary membership. 

The expulsion order was issued in a letter written on official party letterhead and signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.Although the hospital attack was not directly referenced in the letter. Multiple party sources confirmed that Sohel Ahmed Manik’s expulsion was formalized in a letter dated May 3, 2025, numbered BNP/Expulsion/77/73/2025.Incidentally, on the morning of April 3, allegations emerged of an attack and vandalism at Satkhira Sadar Hospital, allegedly led by Sohel Ahmed Manik. According to Civil Surgeon Dr. Abdus Salam, a case has been filed involving vandalism of hospital furniture and assault on a nurse and a doctor.In response to the incident, officials from the army, police, and intelligence services visited the hospital to investigate and hear testimony from those involved.
