Dr Monjurul Kadir new DG of BARI

Renowned agricultural scientist Dr. Md. Monjurul Kadir has been appointed as the new Director General of the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI).
According to an official order issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, he has been assigned the responsibility of Director General (Routine Charge) of BARI. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Director of the Oilseed Research Centre at BARI.
Dr. Monjurul Kadir joined the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute in 1992 as a Scientific Officer.
Throughout his distinguished career, he was successively promoted to the positions of Senior Scientific Officer, Principal Scientific Officer, Chief Scientific Officer, and Director of the Oilseed Research Centre.
In 2009, he earned his PhD in Oilseed Breeding (Rapeseed and Groundnut) from Bangladesh Agricultural University. During his professional career, he participated in numerous international training programs, seminars, symposiums, and workshops in countries including the United States, India, the Netherlands, Spain, Thailand, Kenya, and Vietnam.
He has also published a significant number of research papers in various national and international scientific journals and periodicals.
Dr. Md. Monjurul Kadir was born in 1968 in a respected Muslim family in Jamalpur District. In his personal life, he is the father of two children
