DNCC clears Mirpur Tejgaon footpaths with Ansar support

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) conducted a special eviction drive to free roads and footpaths from illegal encroachments in Mirpur-10, Senpara, and Tejgaon areas of the capital.
Operating under the direction of the DNCC Administrator (North), Executive Magistrate Marufa Begum Nelly led the mobile court drive starting at 8:30 AM on Thursday.
The operation commenced at Mirpur-10 and extended to Osmani Hall and the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) area. Mobile court officials removed illegal shops, street hawkers, and unauthorized structures operating on both sides of the roads and footpaths. Security forces also dismantled unauthorized advertising billboards and unipole signs, seizing the material on the spot.
To maintain law and order during the drive, 31 members of the Dhaka Metropolitan Ansar Battalion (41 Battalion) were deployed under the direction of Battalion Director Md. Jane Alam Sufiyan, led on the ground by Company Commander Md. Imam Mehedi.
Due to the active presence of Ansar forces alongside 18 personnel from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), the eviction drive concluded peacefully without any untoward incidents at 2:00 PM.
Pedestrians and local residents expressed relief as footpaths were cleared of illegal encroachments after a long period, praising the timely action taken by DNCC, the Dhaka Metropolitan Ansar Battalion, and the police.
