A discussion on the role of Popular Life in employment, poverty alleviation and economic development of the country was held at the International Mother Language Institute Auditorium in Segunbagicha in the city on Saturday.
The chief guest of the event was Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Member of the National Standing Committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and the visionary of Popular Life Insurance.
The event was presided over by the chairman of the company, Mohammad Zahirul Islam Chowdhury, and the main discussant was BM Yusuf Ali, Managing Director and CEO of the company and the President of the Bangladesh Insurance Forum.
Also present at the event were the company's entrepreneur director and former chairman, Amir Humayun Mahmud Chowdhury, company's entrepreneur director and former chairman, Md. Motahar Hossain, and the entrepreneur director, Shahzada Mahmud Chowdhury. The vote of thanks was delivered by the company's Additional Managing Director, BM Shawkat Ali.
Senior officials of the company were also present at the event.
