The first anniversary of the Dainik Swadhinatar Chetana, a new daily newspaper published from Moulvibazar committed to the fundamental principle of publishing the truth, was celebrated with grandeur and a joyous cake-cutting ceremony.

A special commemorative anniversary edition of the newspaper was also published to mark the occasion.

The anniversary program took place in a festive atmosphere on Tuesday noon in Moulvibazar Press Club auditorium, drawing a large gathering of journalists, political leaders, public representatives, and civil society members that left the club premises vibrant with representatives from diverse professions.

The first session of the anniversary event commenced with the seating of esteemed guests, followed by the main discussion segment. Moderated by the Editor and Acting Convenor of the Moulvibazar Press Club, Bakkchhi Miquebinur Rahman, the discussion featured Moulvibazar Deputy Commissioner Tauhiduzzaman Pavel as the chief guest, and Moulvibazar Zilla Parishad Administrator Mizanur Rahman Mizan as the special guest.

Other prominent speakers were former Press Club President Dr. Sadiq Ahmed, former Press Club President Azadur Rahman, former Press Club General Secretary Adv. Nurul Islam Shefuj, District BNP Convenor Committee Member GM Muki, Member Fakrul Islam, Member Helu Mia, Member Matin Baksh, Press Club Member Secretary Syed Humayun Ali Shaheen, NTV Staff Correspondent SM Umed Ali, and Daily Manab Zamin Staff Reporter GM Imad Uddin.

Chief guest Deputy Commissioner Tauhiduzzaman Pavel paid deep respects to all the martyrs of the July 2024 uprising and the Great Liberation War. He urged everyone to work together for the country's development by nurturing the spirit of July-August, putting aside all differences.

Special guest Zilla Parishad Administrator Mizanur Rahman Mizan extended his greetings on the anniversary of Dainik Swadhinatar Chetana, stating his belief that the people will come to know about all social, political, cultural, and other activities of Moulvibazar district through this publication. He further mentioned that various development projects have already been undertaken led by local MP M. Nasir Uddin.

He expressed hope that all members of the press club would unite, sit under a single umbrella, provide leadership together, and jointly run institutional activities, assuring them of his administration's full support.
