Corruption against Hasanur Rahman in Shariatpur alleged

Shariatpur Correspondent

The TTC building in Shariatpur stands as a beacon of hope for countless aspiring expatriates and trainees who dream of changing their fate.

However, it seems someone has turned that trust into a personal goldmine. Officially a part-time instructor—but his real activities suggest something far different.

He secured a trade license in his name for 2.5 million BDT.

He operates an illegal private agency.
He allegedly defrauded multiple individuals, charging 1.8 million BDT each.

Using his office space during official hours, he openly conducted business under his agency’s banner.

Deeply involved in manpower dealings—
PDO enrollment, fingerprinting, BMET registration—nothing was left untouched.

The man in question, Hasanur Rahman, has been serving as a part-time instructor at the same institution for the past eight years. Leveraging the TTC's reputation, he has reportedly climbed the ladder of corruption, building close ties with influential individuals and higher authorities—many of whom appear to be his enablers.

Several part-time instructors, having worked at the institute for eight years or more, now reportedly spend more time engaging in illegal activities than actual teaching. These include BMET registrations, PDO enrollments, fingerprinting, certificate trading, airline ticket sales, and even trafficking people abroad. Hasanur's influence has grown to the point where even the principal seems unable to take effective action against him.

When contacted, TTC Principal Mustafizur Rahman stated that he is doing his best to remain honest and maintain integrity within the institution, but admits that much of what’s happening is beyond his control.

Hasanur, the automotive trade instructor, has traveled abroad 4-5 times without proper authorization from the administration. He is said to be a successful manpower businessman and maintains a business partnership with a Deputy Director. Most recently, on 09.10.24, he reportedly locked his entire trade section and flew to the Philippines.

Not only that—his frequent visits to five-star hotels, luxurious lifestyle, and unchecked corruption are causing immense distress to ordinary people.

The  Country Today correspondent attempted   to reach Hasanur Rahman for comment but he did not answer his phone.

The question remains—when will this rampant corruption finally be stopped ?
