
Coast Guard Western Zone ensures overall security on waterways on Eid-ul-Azha

Bangladesh Coast Guard Western Zone has been working round the clock to ensure security and smooth journey of Eid passengers.
Coast Guard media officer Lieutenant Commander Harun-or-Rashid conveyed this information in a press release on Wednesday.
Since its inception, the Bangladesh Coast Guard has been tirelessly performing its duties to ensure overall security of the coastal and riverine areas. This force regularly conducts patrols, joint and raid operations to prevent illegal activities and ensure the safety of waterways.
On the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Azha-2025, the Bangladesh Coast Guard Western Zone is conducting special patrols, awareness-raising miking, leaflet distribution, searches of suspicious persons and boats/vessels, and other security activities including passenger bag scanning at important launch/ferry/boat ghats in Rupsha, Koyra, Nolian of Khulna, Mongla of Bagerhat, Sharankhola, and Koikhali of Satkhira districts to ensure public safety.
Every member of the Coast Guard remains vigilant to prevent any sabotage activities by miscreants. Through these efforts, it is expected that passengers’ water journeys will remain safe.
Coast Guard activities continue 24 hours a day, day and night, and will remain ongoing to keep passenger water travel safe even after Eid-ul-Azha.
