
Coast Guard provides free medical services, essential medicines at Haimchar
Bangladesh Coast Guard has provided free medical services and essential medicines at Haimchar, Chandpur.
Coast Guard media officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-Ul-Haque provided this information on Wednesday noon.Since its inception, the Bangladesh Coast Guard has come forward to meet various needs of the underprivileged people in coastal and riverside areas. The Coast Guard has been providing free medical services to distressed and low-income people through medical camps from time to time.In continuation of this, on Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, a medical camp was conducted by the Coast Guard Headquarters Support Unit at Uttar Algir Lamchhori in Haimchar police station area of Chandpur district, where more than 500 helpless, poor, distressed people and children were provided free medical services and essential medicines. The medical camp was led by Senior Medical Officer Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Taslima Hossain, AMC, and Medical Officer Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Ahmed Rifat Tahmid, AMC. Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue such public service activities in the future.
