Coast Guard operation : 15- kg of marijuana worth Tk 6 lakh seized in Teknaf

A total of 15 kg of marijuana worth about 6 lakh taka was seized in a Bangladesh Coast Guard operation in Teknaf, Cox's Bazar on Wednesday.Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan gave this information through a press release on Wednesday night.The press release said that based on a secret tip-off, a special operation was conducted by Coast Guard Station Teknaf in the College Para area under Teknaf police station in Cox's Bazar at 4 pm on Wednesday. During the operation, 15 kg of marijuana worth about 6 lakh taka was seized from the area in an abandoned state. At this time, no one could be arrested as the drug dealer fled after sensing the presence of the Coast Guard.The process of taking further legal action on the seized marijuana is under process.The Coast Guard will continue such operations in the future to protect the young generation from the dangerous clutches of drugs.
