Two cases have been filed in Moulvibazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Court against more than 50 leaders of Srimangal Awami League of Moulvibazar including former Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdus Shahid.

In the statement of the case, the plaintiffs alleged that during the anti-discrimination student movement across the country, during the program to protest against the government's genocide, on the orders of the former agriculture minister and local top-level leaders, the armed activists of the Chhatra League-Youth League attacked, injured, vandalized houses, looted cash and gold ornaments.

These two cases were heard in Moulvibazar Senior Judicial Magistrate No. 2 Amal Court on Thursday. The court took the case into two stages and directed the police to investigate and take legal action.

Separately, two cases were filed by Abdul Jabbar Azad, a councilor of 2nd Ward of Srimangal Municipality and a resident of Kalighat Road area of the suburb, and Shahdat Hossain, a 2nd year HSC student of Kamalganj Public University, a resident of the same area.

Shahjahan Miah, Mamun Ahmed, Jubo League leader Akbar Hossain Shahin, Chhatra League leader Kaesh Ahmed, Moshahid Miah, Md. Saidur Rahmas Sujad, Aibur Rahman Akash, Azizur Rahman Naeem, Md. Azman Miah, Upazila Chhatra League General Secretary Akash Deb Jewell, Sheikh Noman, Kausar Ali, Harunur Rashid, Faisal Ali, Sajib Hossain, Krishak League leader Shahid Miah, Zubair Ahmed, Chhatra League leader Sajjad Miah, Jubo League Sadiqul Islam, Md Azman Miah and Aibur Rahman Akash. . Besides, hundreds of unknown persons were accused in both cases.
