Brahmanbaria district police holds special law, order and crime review meeting

A special law and order and crime review meeting of the Brahmanbaria District Police was held on Tuesday in the conference room of the Superintendent of Police's office.

Chattogram Range DIG Abdul Quddus Chowdhury, PPA, attended the meeting as the chief guest, which was presided over by Brahmanbaria District Superintendent of Police Shah Md. Abdur Rouf.

Addressing the meeting, the chief guest issued various directives, emphasizing the implementation of a zero-tolerance policy against narcotics and the strengthening of inter-agency coordination for drug control. He underscored the need to conduct regular mobile courts across all police stations.

To address factional social disputes and riots in Brahmanbaria, the DIG called for proactive police measures alongside public awareness campaigns. He also directed authorities to ensure services for expatriates and their families by establishing expatriate welfare desks in every police station. Additionally, discussions covered the execution of arrest warrants, progress on sensitive cases, and the intensification of district intelligence operations, with necessary instructions given to relevant officials.

Senior officials of the Brahmanbaria District Police were present at the meeting.
